Mobile phone of Jatiya Party Chairman GM Quader was snatched when he was talking over the phone in his private car in Dhaka's Airport area on Wednesday night (August 31, 2022).

GM Quader's Assistant Personal Secretary Md Toyob filed a case in this regard on Thursday (September 1, 2022) against one anonymous person.

Aslam Uddin, inspector (Investigation) of Airport Police Station, confirmed the incident to The Daily Star today (September 3, 2022).

Quoting the Jatiya Party chairman, police said that GM Quader was returning home in his private car around 11pm. As the AC of the car was not working, he opened the window. A young man snatched his phone and fled when he was talking over the phone.

The car was moving slowly when the incident occurred, police said.

The phone has not been recovered yet but one was detained in this connection, the police official said.
