A 65-year-old man died in police custody in Jamalpur early yesterday.

Huttu, a resident of Hat Chandra village in Jamalpur municipality, was an accused in a land dispute case, said police.

Faisal Muhammad Atik, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station, said police arrested him at his home around midnight.

Within 10 minutes of his arrest, he suffered a cardiac arrest, said the OC.

When he was rushed to a hospital, doctors declared him dead.
