Man killed in clash over goat grazing in Narsingdi

A man was killed and two of his children were injured in a clash over goat grazing in Narsingdi's Sadar upazila today.
The deceased was identified as Mostafa Mia, 45, of Baushia village under Karimpur Union. His injured son Shahin, 21, and daughter Tania, 28, are currently undergoing treatment.
Mohammad Emdadul Haque, officer-in-charge of Narsingdi Sadar Police Station, said the incident occurred around 12:30pm when Mostafa had a heated argument with his neighbour Alauddin after a goat belonging to Mostafa grazed on a field owned by Alauddin.
The argument escalated, and Alauddin's associates allegedly attacked Mostafa and his family members with homemade weapons.
Mostafa, Shahin, and Tania sustained serious injuries and were initially taken to Narsingdi Sadar Hospital. As Mostafa's condition worsened, he was transferred to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where he died around 2:00pm.
OC Emdadul Haque also said on information, police rushed to the spot and arrested Alauddin and another suspect named Rubel in connection with the killing this afternoon. "Efforts to apprehend other suspects are ongoing," he added.
The situation is currently under control, and legal proceedings are underway, he added.
