MBBS admission test results

The results of the admission test for the 2024-25 academic year for the government and private medical colleges in the country were published today with a pass rate of 45.62 percent.

Among the participants, 60,095 candidates passed the exam. A total of 5,372 candidates have been chosen for admission to 110 medical colleges, including 37 government colleges.

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare today issued a circular in this regard.

The results were subsequently published after 4:30pm.

This year, including quota-based seats, the total number of seats in medical colleges is 5,380. Accordingly, 25 candidates competed for each seat in this year's MBBS entry test.

A total of 1,35,261 applicants across the country registered for the MBBS admission test this year.

On January 17, the MBBS admission test was held at 19 test centres where a total of 1,31,729 participated. The passing threshold was 40.

In comparison, during the 2023-24 academic year, 104,044 candidates applied for the medical admission test, with approximately 19.34 candidates competing for each seat. This year, the number of competitors per seat has increased by six.

There are 110 medical colleges in the country, of which 37 are government medical colleges and 67 are private. Additionally, there is one Armed Forces Medical College and five private Army Medical Colleges.
