Bangladeshi detained by ‘BSF’ along Panchagarh border
Indian Border Security Force (BSF) allegedly detained a Bangladeshi teenager along Tokapara border in Panchagarh's Sadar upazila this afternoon.
The detainee is Wasim,17, son of Rezaul Karim of Senpara village under the same upazila.
Lt Col Sheikh Mohammad Bodruddoza, commanding officer of Border Guard Battalion (BGB) battalion-56 in Nilphamari, said BSF members rom Goralbari camp claimed that the teen was caught after he crossed into India around 3:15pm.
On information, BGB officials contacted their counterparts in the BSF to arrange a company commander-level flag meeting for the return of the boy.
The BSF officials have agreed to return the boy following the completion of the legal process.
