Yunus leaves Rome after attending Pope Francis' funeral

Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus today left Rome for Dhaka, a day after attending the Funeral Mass of Pope Francis at St Peter's Square in Vatican City.

Yunus had arrived in Rome on Friday to pay his final respects to the late pontiff.

The chief adviser yesterday attended the funeral of Pope Francis at St Peter's Square and paid his last tribute.

According to UNB, senior Catholic Church leaders, Cardinal Silvano Maria Tomasi and Cardinal Jacob Koovakad, met Yunus following the ceremony.

In November last year, the Vatican launched the Pope Francis–Yunus Three Zero Clubs in Rome, inspired by Yunus's vision of achieving zero unemployment, zero wealth concentration, and zero net carbon emissions.
