‘Govt trying to bring back Bangabandhu’s killers’
Law Minister Anisul Huq today said the government is trying to bring back the fugitive killers Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
“Five to six convicted killers of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman have been staying in foreign countries,” he said at a programme in Dhaka.
Khandker Mushtaque Ahmed and Ziaur Rahman had issued the Indemnity Ordinance in 1975 to block the trial of the killers of Bangabandhu and his family, he added.
Later on, the governments led by HM Ershad and Khaleda Zia had given jobs to the killers and sent them to abroad let alone holding their trial, he said.
The law, justice and parliamentary affairs ministry organized the programme on the occasion of 43th death anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
