Envoy of Qatar meets PM

Ambassador of Qatar in Dhaka Atiq Nasser Al-Bader made a courtesy call on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her office yesterday, reports UNB.

The envoy thanked the Prime Minister for supporting Qatar in selecting it as the venue for holding the next OIC summit in the year 2000.

The Prime Minister said Bangladesh has an excellent friendly relation with Qatar and hoped that the relation will further be strengthened in the days ahead.

She mentioned that 45,000 Bangladeshi workers are working in Qatar and stressed for increasing the volume of trade between the two countries.
