PM to visit Brussels Feb 1-2

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will pay a two-day visit to Brussels, Belgium from February 1.

A new cooperation agreement with the European Commission encompassing the scope of cooperation in Environment, Science, Technology, Training Intellectual Property Rights is expected to be signed during her visit.

Hasina will be conferred on a honorary doctorate by the Catholic University based in Brussels.

The Prime Minister will hold talks with the President of the European Commission Romano Prodi.

Prodi earlier visited Dhaka as the Prime Minister of Italy.

She is also likely to hold talks with the Belgian Prime Minister.
