Today is the fifth death anniversary of Dr Shahabuddin Musharraf Hossain (Munir), former senior economist of International Monetary Fund (IMF) and a teacher of the economics department, Dhaka University.
On the occasion, day-long programmes, including Qurankhwani, fatehakhwani, milad mahfil and special munajat will be held in different mosques. Food will also be distributed among the destitute in orphanages.
His relatives, friends, well-wishers and students have been requested to pray for the salvation of his departed soul.
