Give list of money scamsters by 72hrs: BNP
BNP today gave the government a 72-hour ultimatum to publish a list of money scamsters.
The ultimatum was issued by the party’s spokesperson Asaduzzaman Khan Ripon in a press briefing held at BNP’s Nayalpaltan office this afternoon.
However, he did not make it clear what actions BNP would go for if their demand was not met.
Ripon, also international affairs secretary of the party, said, “During the current government’s tenure, around Tk 55,000 crore have gone to default loans. We want to know who these people are.”
Hinting on Finance Minister AMA Muhith’s comment on ruling party leaders getting in the way of taking actions against loan defaults, Ripon said he “we want to know who are behind such a huge scandal”.
“Three Padma bridges could be built with the amount of loan defaults that took place during the current government’s tenure,” Ripon claimed.
