UP polls candidate’s son held with explosive

Fifteen people including son of a union parishad (UP) polls candidate were detained with explosives from a house adjacent to a polling centre in Barura upazila of Comilla this morning.

Detained Jamil Hossain is son of Awami League-nominated candidate Manjur Hossain, Bangla daily Prothom Alo reports quoting Inspector of Monohorganj Police Station Sadeque Hossain.

A team of police raided the house at Adra union around 10:00am, the daily reports.
