Why study in Germany

Germany is located at the centre of Europe and is in a dominant position in terms of leadership in the European Commission, sustainable economy in EU, education, etc. Germany has different types of higher educational institutions: universities which have a student population between 10,000 and 60,000 and are in most cases research oriented, Hochschule – universities with a student population range of 3,000 to 50,000 with programmes only in engineering, and Fachhochschule (applied sciences) which are focused universities and contain specific subjects like engineering, business, management.

All universities in Germany are funded by the government. For such reasons Germany has become a lucrative destination for higher education for international students. Some important points to consider:

TUITION FEES
German universities have no tuition fees. It is the only country in the world which provides higher education totally free of cost.

LANGUAGE
There is a wide range of subjects in master's level taught fully in English. Most potential international students think German universities require knowledge of German language, which is not true. In contrast, undergraduate level studies need knowledge of English along with German proficiency.

ACCOMMODATION
Each university has dormitories where international students can stay. The costs are affordable. Each student is allocated a room that contains adequate facilities.

SEMESTER TICKET
Each university student can buy a semester ticket which is inexpensive and allows the student to travel within a certain area for six months.

COST FOR VISA
For safety, each student needs to keep 8040 euro (equivalent in BDT 680000) in his personal account in German Bank. 

WORK FACILITIES
According to the German law, a student can work for 120 full days or 240 half days per year within his study period with a minimum wage of 8.51 euro per hour. 

AFTER STUDY
After successful completion of studies, a student gets 18 months extra time to search for jobs. Germany has a low unemployment rate and has a reputation of providing quality jobs for students.
