'DPL a good experience'

Abahani's foreign recruit Yusuf Pathan began his stint in the Dhaka Premier League on a good note as he hit a half-century to lead the Dhanmondi outfit to a crucial win.

Yusuf, who is expected to play two more matches in the league, said that he was satisfied to have done well despite having reached Dhaka just a day before.

“It was a long travel for me and it is not easy when you come and go straight to the field. And the traffic in Dhaka is also a little hectic. But it is okay as I am gathering some new experience.

“The experience here is new for me. The wicket is different. Back home the fast bowlers take charge at the beginning, but here the spinners start with the new ball. The teams here play according to the merit of the wicket. The experience all over has been new for me,” said Yusuf.
