Four luxury cars were seized from Dhaka’s Baridhara today for tax dodging, customs intelligence said.

The cars include an Audi sedan, a Mercedes sedan, a Mercedes jeep and a BMW jeep.

The cars were found abandoned at Road 8A in Block-J of Baridhara, said Moinul Khan, director general of customs intelligence. 

Primary investigation revealed that the cars were kept at a motor workshop in the name of repairing purpose.

The customs intelligence seized the cars on charges of tax dodging.  The tax on the luxury cars are up to 841 percent which suggests a huge amount of tax evasion.
