22nd Kolkata Int'l Film Fest

Kolkata International Film Fest will be held this November. Many international directors and actors participate in the festival to take this second oldest film fest of India to a higher level. Legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan has been inaugurating the event for the last three years, along with noted actor Shah Rukh Khan.

 Talking about the festival, chairperson of the organising committee, film director Goutam Ghose said, “Every year we ensure Bangladeshi films are a part of the festival. However this year, we are emphasising on more Bangladeshi films than last year.” 

In the previous year 149 films were screened from 61 countries which had films from USA, UK, Germany, Greece, Japan, Chinese, Spain, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and more. There were two Bangladeshi films- “Ami O Ice-cream Wala” directed by Sumon Dhar and Monsur Ali's “Sangram”.

This year 22nd Kolkata Film Fest will begin on 14th November, 2016 which will also hold a short film competition along with the screening.
