Bangladesh sprinter Mezbah Ahmed made his exit from the preliminary round heats of the glamour 100m sprint at the Olympic Stadium in Rio de Janeiro today. Although the fastest Bangladesh man, running from lane 5 in the second preliminary round heat, started off the block well, he finished poorly. He clocked 11.34 seconds, far away from his personal best of 10.72 seconds. Maldives Saaid Hassan won this heat, clocking 10.43 seconds and advanced into the main draw.
