Police claim to have detained three people with five kilograms of gold and contraband yaba tablets from Dhaka’s railway station Star file photo

Customs Intelligence recovered 18 gold bars worth about Tk 1 crore from Dhaka’s Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport today.

Md Salim Uddin of Fatikchori in Chittagong was detained in this connection. He was held while crossing Green Channel at the airport.

The gold bars were concealed inside a bathroom, sources in customs intelligence said.
