He also said that American Optometric Association has adopted this method and advised all to follow.

Apart from the principle rule described above, you should also be aware of some easy tips to protect your eyes from Digital Eye Strain and to maintain good eye health.

--Adjust your screen brightness and contrast. Make sure that your room or working space is as bright as your screen. You may use some screen glass, matte screen filter or screen protecting eyewear too.

--Keep your computer screen at least 25 inches far from your eyes. Keep the screen at such a position that your eye gaze is slightly downward - 15 to 20 degrees below eye level.

--And take 15 minutes of break after every two hours of continuous screen time.

--Get your eyes and vision tested regularly. A good measure is at least once a year.
