What Goes on Beneath

Traffic flows smoothly over the Mayor Hanif Flyover in the capital but beneath it is horrendous chaos, mismanagement and filth, especially near Sayedabad. Fish crates are left on the central reservation of the street alongside illegal shops of vendors and even horses. Local traders occupy streets which buses and auto-rickshaws have made their parking lot. The neat and clean flyover above shrouds the pothole ridden and waterlogged street below.
