BD U-14s move into plate final

The Bangladesh Under-14 team moved into the plate final of the Supermokh Cup with a 2-0 victory over an under-14 side from Manchester City FC in Shah Alam, Malaysia, said a press release from the Bangladesh Football Federation yesterday.

According to the scoresheet provided, midfielder Fahim Morshed scored both goals. He first scored in the 11th minute before doubled the margin in the 34th minute of the 70-minute affair.

The Bangladesh team are to take on Japanese side Shonan Bellmare in the plate final today.

“Although the Manchester City team are excellent and they have a crop of quality players, Bangladesh played great football. At this point our only goal is to be the plate champions. Our boys are ready to put up a good fight and clinch the title,” Bangladesh team's head coach Zahid Parvez said after the match.
