Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested two people at Satmatha in the district town early yesterday on charge of demanding illegal toll from a cattle-laden truck on Sherpur road.

The arrestees are Asaduzzaman Nur alias Ananta, 25, son of Zakirul Islam of Chelopara, and Mahmud Hasan, 38, son of Amzad Hossian of Sutrapur in the town.

Police said on information, a team of Rab-12 arrested the two when they demanded extortion from the cattle trader on the truck.
