Neymar to PSG deal ‘very advanced’, reports say
Brazilian winger Neymar’s Junior’s transfer saga continues as several media sources have claimed that the deal to take him to Paris is progressing rapidly.
The latest advancement in the saga sees Radio Monte Carlo claim that Neymar’s father will meet with the PSG hierarchy in a few hours.
Catalan Radio station Rac1 have reported on the deal being at a 'very advanced' stage with PSG offering the Brazilian a five-year contract worth 30m euros net per season, making him Europe's best-paid footballer.
The enormous wage is just one of the reasons for the Brazilian to move. Reportedly, Neymar and his father were upset that Barcelona could not seal the Paulinho transfer.
Dani Alves, who is a close friend to Neymar is already at PSG. Neymar is certainly going to be the Paris side’s biggest star if he does move to PSG.
Barcelona will be left with much to ponder if the transfer does take place. They have not been able to lure Marco Veratti and may need to start planning for a replacement for Neymar.
For the time being, neither the player nor Barca have commented publicly on the case. However, Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu believes that clubs must break the rules of Financial Fair Play in order to sign Neymar.
