Garment worker, man found dead in Ashulia
Bodies of a female garment worker and another man were found in Ashulia, at the outskirts of capital Dhaka, in the last 24 hours.
Garment worker Mahfuza Begum, 31, has been allegedly killed by her husband, a case filed in this regard by the victim’s mother Hafiza Begum says.
Mahfuza’s slit-throat body was found at her rented house in Jamgora area around 9:00pm last night, Abdul Awal, Officer-in-charge of Ashulia police station told The Daily Star.
Hafiza Begum filed a murder case against Lavlu Mia, the victim’s husband, with Ashulia Police Station, the OC added. Lavlu Mia is currently absconding.
Body of another Jahangir was found in a bus parked in front of Golf Club in Nabinagar area of Ashulia around 9:00am this morning, the OC added.
The hands and legs of the body were tied together when police recovered it, Abdul Awal said. “We assume that Jahangir was choked to death,” the OC added.
No case was filed in this regard until last reported.
