Badda child ‘raped before murder’: Cops

The three years and nine months old girl, whose body was recovered in Badda last night, was reportedly raped and murdered by a neighbour, police said today.

The neighbour Md Shipon, 35, took the child to his room by tempting food and raped her before murder, Abdul Baten, joint commission of detective branch (DB) police, told The Daily Star.

To hide the crime, Shipon dumped the body inside a common toilet at the victims’ residence in Adarshya Nagar area, the DB official said.

A woman found the body inside commode of the toilet and brought it out around 6:00pm, victim’s family members said.

On information, police recovered the body and found evidence of murder and rape.

Later, during a block-raid in the area, the law enforcer found blood-stained clothes in the room of Shipon.

Later, the law enforcer arrested Shipon around 1:00am after they found blood-stained clothes in the room as the evidence of rape and murder.
