Two firemen help people cross the waterlogged road using a towable tube in the city's Shantinagar area after heavy rain yesterday. Bri Gen Ali Ahmed Khan, director general of Fire Service and Civil Defence, said they bought towable tubes for the recent floods but are now deploying those in different areas of Dhaka and Chittagong to help people, especially the elderly, women and students.
