Fire at foreign ministry doused
A fire that broke out at the old building of Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) was brought under control this morning.
According to a MOFA press release, the fire has damaged wires for internet connectivity, halting internet service in the ministry.
The fire originated from an electric short circuit at server room of the ministry around 9:00am.
Hearing the fire alarm, director general (admin) and others rushed in and the blaze was put out with the help of internal fire extinguishing system.
On information, fire fighters also rushed in and wiped out the smog from the server room.
Three-member probe team, headed by director general (admin), has already been formed to investigate into the incident.
Internet connection hopefully will be restored soon alternative way, it added.
