Rough Ride Ahead

As city dwellers prepare to travel back home for their Eid holidays, a major stumbling block stands in their way. Highways and roads across the country are showing signs of heavy damage, while in places they have become completely unusable. Repairs by the Roads and Highways department are further adding to the problem, creating tailbacks that can often stretch as far as the eyes can see. Repairs, rains and floods have all contributed to this current state. Inundated, broken or completely washed away roads will add to the sufferings of the many travellers come Eid.
