Explosives case filed over Mirpur raid

Law enforcers today filed an explosives case over the bomb haul in Mirpur raid where seven persons including suspected militants had died.

Darus Salam Police Station Officer-in-Charge Selimuzzaman told The Daily Star that Rapid Action Battalion filed the suit against anonymous persons this afternoon.

The Mirpur raid ended with the haul of some powerful bombs, explosives, explosive-making materials and some sharp weapons. Charred remains of seven people were also found there.

In a previous unnatural death case, police had said seven persons had died in the house, presumably from a blast, which included two children and two women.
