3 burnt in Old Dhaka factory fire

Three workers were severely burnt after a fire broke out at a belt making factory in Malitola of Old Dhaka today.

The victims Ranjit, 16, Ekramul, 15, and Sanjay 15, suffered 50 percent, 45 percent and 20 percent burn injuries respectively in the fire that originated at the sixth floor of the six-storey building due to electric short circuit around 3:00pm.

The injured are being treated in Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) burn unit, hospital sources said.
