Aug 21 grenade attack: Court starts hearing arguments Oct 23
A Dhaka court will start hearing arguments on October 23 in connection with the August 21 grenade attack cases.
On completion of recording statements of the prosecution and defence witnesses today, Judge Shahed Nuruddin of the Speedy Trial Tribunal-1 fixed the date for hearing.

Starting from 2011, the tribunal recorded statements of 225 prosecution witnesses and 17 defence witnesses.
Twenty-four leaders and workers of Awami League and its associate bodies including Ivy Rahman, the then Mohila AL president and wife of late president Zillur Rahman, were killed and over 500 others suffered splinter injuries in the attack on August 21, 2004. Many of the injured became crippled for life.
