BPL’s Dhaka phase matches set for reschedule
The Bangladesh Premier League fifth edition matches are set for a reschedule as Dhaka phase matches will start half-an hour early considering the dew factor and keeping crowd participation in mind.
The first game of the tournament will start from 1.30 pm half an hour early while the second game which was scheduled to start from 7:00 would begin from 6 pm. The games on Friday will start from 2 pm while the second game will begin on 6.30 pm from the Dhaka phase.
"We have already decided to reschedule the first game to 1.30 pm while we have also decided to cut short the break between the end of the first game and the second game, which will start at 6pm. Basically we have taken the decision keeping the spectators in mind as they had to face a lot of difficulties due to lack of transportation after the game. Secondly the due factor is also there and the third thing is that the curators will get some more time to prepare the ground as we have back to back matches," Ismail Haider Mallick, the member secretary of the BPL governing council said on Sunday.
Earlier both Mashrafe Bin Mortaza and Darren Sammy said after their game that dew played a big part during the game and winning the toss will prompt every skipper to field first keeping the dew factor in mind.
The Sylhet phase of the BPL will end on November 8 while the Dhaka phase will begin from November 11.
