Nat'l Judicial Conference to be held on Dec 2
The daylong National Judicial Conference-2017 will be held on December 2 for discussing all the relevant issues regarding the judiciary including backlog of cases, digitisation and effective court administration and case management.
The Supreme Court will arrange the function which will be held at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in Dhaka, sources at the Supreme Court said.
President Md Abdul Hamid is expected to inaugurate the conference as the chief guest.
Justice Md Abdul Wahhab Miah, who is now discharging the responsibilities of the chief justice, will preside over the inaugural programme where Law Minister Anisul Huq and Law Secretary ASSM Zahirul Haque, among others, will speak.
Judges from the Appellate and High Court Divisions of the SC and lower courts across the country are expected to attend the function, according to the sources.
