Neymar regrets signing for PSG?
A rain cloud hovers above Brazilian star Neymar as he broke down in tears during a press conference after Brazil’s win over Japan in an International friendly match.
In recent weeks, stories have surfaced that Neymar has a tense relationship with PSG coach Unai Emery while a number of squad members are reportedly unhappy with the Brazilian’s special privileges.
The 25-year old cut a fragile figure in the press conference that followed Brazil's 3-1 win over Japan in a friendly in Lille on Friday, wiping away tears as national coach Tite spoke out in his defence and then hurriedly leaving the room.
However, his reactions have given indulges to more speculation as the PSG player said: "When you are an idol, an example in the eyes of so many people, you have to be perfect and very often I am not," Neymar told the press.
"I am a young man of 25 with a lot to learn in football."
Reports from Brazil seem to suggest that Neymar is unhappy at PSG and regrets leaving Barcelona. The reports have gained weight because of one Brazilian journalist Marcelo Belcher – the man who first echoed the fact that Neymar was interested in a move away from Barca. Belcher was also the man who first confirmed the news of PSG signing Neymar.
He has returned to Barcelona at least twice since the start of the season, twice being pictured on social media with Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez, and is even reported to have asked them how they would feel if he came back for good, an AFP report said.
Neymar has already told some of his former Blaugrana teammates, such as Gerard Pique and Luis Suarez, that he wishes he hadn't moved to the French capital, Belcher said on Onda Cero's 'El Transistor' programme.
“There are a lot of high-ranking players in the dressing room, such as [Edinson] Cavani and [Angel] Di Maria, and they have found Neymar's behaviour in these first month strange," Belcher further added.
According to the Brazilian journalist there is truth to the rumours that Neymar has problems with coach Unai Emery but suggests that someone else will be weeded out before PSG even contemplates letting Neymar leave.
Belcher also made speculations that the Brazil star could one day sign for Spanish giants Real Madrid.
"It would be easier for him to go to Real Madrid than return to Barcelona," he pointed out. He wouldn't consider that a betrayal. But right now this is just speculation."
During the press conference, Neymar suggested that stories about him having problems with PSG coach were untrue – something the French media have suggested quite consistently.
