Two container-transport trucks block a large portion of the Airport Road while making a right turn, creating a tailback on both sides of the road in the port city's Salt Gola crossing area. This has become a regular phenomenon since some container depots were set up in the area. As a result, thousands, including workers, patients and airport goers, who use the road on a regular basis, continue to bear the brunt. According to locals, these trucks are also parked on the roadsides, worsening the traffic situation further. The photo was taken on Thursday. Photo: Prabir Das
People in small processions head towards Suhrawardy Udyan yesterday to attend a “Nagorik Samabesh” (citizens' rally) to celebrate Unesco's recognition of the March 7 speech of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Traffic on one side of Kazi Nazrul Islam Avenue was closed. The photo was taken at Farmgate around 2:00pm. Photo: Palash Khan

Medical promotion officers neatly parked their motorcycles on the walkway and the road in front of Dhaka Medical College Hospital while managing their business in and outside of the hospital. Consequently, pedestrians are being forced onto the road. The photo was taken yesterday. Photo: Palash Khan
