Mustafizur fit and likely to return to action
Rajshahi Kings paceman Mustafizur Rahman, who suffered an injury during Bangladesh's tour of South Africa is set for a return to action.
The Rajshahi Kings pacer has missed the Sylhet and Dhaka phases of the BPL because of his injury.
There was an issue of whether Mustafizur would rush to the playing field and aggravate the injury. However, after a month-long break away from competetive action, physio Bayzedul Islam Khan revealed that the fast bowler's rehabilitation has gone well.
"He has been with the Rajshahi Kings squad since November 8. After the initial period of rehabilitation we have completed work with all rehabilitation procedures. Today, he bowled at full pace during four sessions without any complains. He also completed running and fielding exercises. Let's see what happens next.
"We are measuring his progress through tests and he has done well. Since he has not complained I think we can decipher that he does not have any problems."
However, the decision to play Mustafizur in the game against Comilla Victorians will rest upon the team management.
Mustafizur himself was all smiles as he said: "There is no problem and everything is okay."
He gave a thumbs up as he left which can also be taken as a sign that his month-long rehabilitation has gone smoothly.
