No existence of Khaleda’s property abroad: Fakhrul
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir today once again denied the allegation brought against the party’s chairperson Khaleda Zia of having illegal properties abroad.
“We have looked into the matter but didn’t find any existence of such properties,” Fakhrul said while distributing blankets among poor people in Dhaka.
Earlier on Thursday, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina brought the allegation of money laundering against Khaleda Zia. Besides, Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader on Saturday blamed Khaleda and her elder son Tareque Rahman for investing around $12 billion in Saudi Arabia, Qatar and other countries.
Meanwhile, Fakhrul alleged that the ruling party is trying to bring false allegation against Khaleda Zia and her family members only to mislead people.
Dhaka South City Unit of BNP arranged the programme marking the party’s Senior Vice Chairman Tarique Rahman's 53rd birthday.
