Shakib leads all-rounder rankings in all formats
Bangladesh's all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan was the "runaway leader" in all-rounder rankings across all three formats of cricket in 2017, the International Cricket Council (ICC) announces after the rankings were updated.
"Among all-rounders, Bangladesh's Shakib Al Hasan was the runaway leader across formats with Ashwin-Jadeja (of India) in Tests, Mohammad Hafeez (of Pakistan) in ODIs and Glen Maxwell (of Australia) in T20Is snatching the baton from him at different points in time," the ICC said in a statement.
Maxwell had grabbed top spot in T20 all-rounder rankings from Shakib Al Hasan, who stayed at the top for 310 days before Maxwell dislodged him for 55 days. Bangladesh's T20 captains is also ranked in 18th, 20th and ninth position among bowlers in Tests, ODIs and T20s respectively.
Tamim Iqbal is ranked 20th among Test batsman while Shakib followed him in 21st position. In ODI rankings Tamim grabbed 16th position among batsmen while Mushfiqur Rahim is on 19.

Steve Smith's performances during the ongoing Ashes saw him continue his reign in the ICC Player Rankings for Test batsmen for a second year running. The Australian finished the calendar year 2017 with the second highest ever rating after the legendary Don Bradman, while India captain Virat Kohli kept a steady hold on the ODI number one ranking for most of the latter part of the year.
