Arrest warrant against 60 BNP men in B’baria
A Brahmanbaria court today issued an arrest warrant against 60 leaders and activists in a case filed in 2015 under Explosive Substances Act.
District BNP President Hafizur Rahman Mollah Kochi and its General Secretary Jahirul Haque Khokon were among the accused in the case, reports our Brahmanbaria correspondent.
Brahmanbaria Chief Judicial Magistrate Munir Kamal passed the order rejecting their bail prayers.
Police filed the case against 63 local BNP leaders and activists with Brahmanbaria Sadar Model Police Station on 6 January, 2015 as a clash took place between police and BNP activists in the district town.
12 BNP men held in Bogra
Twelve leaders and activists of BNP were arrested from four upazilas of Bogra district in last 24 hours.
The BNP men were arrested from different parts of Sonatala, Sherpur, Adamdighi and Sadar upazilas as they were accused in different cases, our correspondent reports quoting police.
With the arrests, some 46 BNP men were so far arrested from different upazilas of Bogra in the last four days from Friday, said Sonaton Chakraborty, assistant superintendent of police (media) of the district.
