Cristiano Ronaldo calls on the world to help Rohingya refugees
Cristiano Ronaldo is not only helping his team Real Madrid win titles, the star forward also took time off his day job to help raise awareness of the plight of the Rohingya refugees.
The Myanmar crisis resulted in thousands of people fleeing their homes and entering Bangladesh.
Ronaldo posted two photos on his facebook page with the message: One World where we all love our children. One of the photos showed him with his four children, sons Cristiano Ronaldo Jr, Mateo Ronaldo and daughters Alana Martina and Eva Maria.
The other photo showed a Rohingya man at one of the Save the Children supported Health clinics in Bangladesh. Ronaldo added a link of a page where people can donate and help out the refugees.
The organization also showed their gratitude to Ronaldo with a facebook post and said: We are grateful to Cristiano Ronaldo for helping raise awareness of the #Rohingya children & families in desperate need of relief.
Ronaldo is an ambassador of Save the Children foundation where he works to spotlight issues facing child refugees and all vulnerable children around the globe.
