Myanmar, Bangladesh home ministers’ meeting begins

Myanmar Home Minister Lt Gen Kyaw Swe sat in a meeting with his Bangladesh counterpart Asaduzzaman Khan at the home ministry in Dhaka this afternoon.

They in the meeting, started around 3:00pm, will discuss the Rohingya crisis and halting smuggling of arms and drugs and full implementation of the border agreement.

Bangladesh is likely to press for restoration of peace and stability in Rakhine State for sustainable return of Rohingyas.

Swe arrived in Dhaka yesterday afternoon on a three-day visit to Bangladesh.
