Khaleda denied treatment from personal doctors: BNP
The government is depriving BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia, now in Dhaka’s old central jail, of treatment facilities by creating obstacles in many ways, BNP alleged today.
“Khaleda Zia’s personal doctors are being obstructed by the government from providing treatment to her in jail. We are denied of information relating to the health of our leader,” the party’s Senior Joint Secretary General Rizvi Ahmed said today.
Rizvi came up with the allegation while addressing a press conference at the party’s Nayapaltan central office in Dhaka this noon.
Terming the current regime as internationally recognised despotic government, Rizvi called upon the government to ensure Khaleda Zia’s immediate unconditional release.
“Otherwise, no one will remain silent keeping Khaleda Zia in jail,” the BNP leader added.
He also slammed the government for stanching away Khaleda Zia’s rights in jail and said the ruling quarter has resorted to such politics of vengeance in a bid to stop her voice against misdeed and mismanagement of the government.
