Students of Frobel Academy paint child-friendly zebra crossing in Chittagong
On March 26, 2018, students of Frobel Academy painted a child-friendly zebra crossing on Panchalaish Road, Chittagong, close to the school premises on the occasion of Independence Day. Frobel Academy is an inclusive school that caters to children with special needs such as Down syndrome, autism, etc. within mainstream premises. The entire process of creating the zebra crossing, from planning to designing to inviting delegates, was done by the children of Frobel Academy.
Children of the Chittagong Chapter of Down Syndrome Society of Bangladesh participated in the event and worked alongside the learners of the Academy. City Planner of Chittagong City Corporation A. K. M. Rezaul Karim graced the event as chief guest, and Managing Director of BSRM Aameir Alihussain; Finance Director of BSRM Zohair Taherali; Director, Frobel Academy Huwra (Tehseen) Zohair, and Sabeen Aameir attended the event with Tasneem Abedin, Convenor of Chittagong Chapter of Down Syndrome Society of Bangladesh.
