The Wild And The Wonderful
Bangladesh is a country rich in biodiversity. This is easy to forget if one grows up in an urban setting where the only vista outsides windows are other windows in other buildings. But set foot outdoors to walk off the beaten path and a world full of colourful brand new world reveals itself. This set of pictures taken from Uttara of Dhaka, Rajshahi and Habiganj shows the richness in Bangladesh's fauna. One frame shows a Chestnut Munia, quenching its thirst at a small water body. Another is that of a little tern. Then there are the beautiful Oriental White Eye birds sitting on a tree at a national park. Every landscape in the country is more alive than what meets the eye. There are places were Cormorants fish, where the bar-headed geese wander in their hundreds, fascinating lizards emerge, and the lone lagur peeks out from behind a tree.
