Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) today claimed arrest of three militants including one female member of the banned Islamist outfit Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) from Bandar upazila, Narayanganj.
Those detained were identified as: Jannatul Nayeem Nitu, 21, Mehedi Hasan Masud, 22, and Akbar hossain Sumon, 30, our local correspondent reports quoting Rab sources.
For all latest news, follow The Daily Star's Google News channel. They were detained from Farazikanda area in the upazila during a drive of the Rab-11, said Alef Uddin, senior assistant director of the Rab unit. Leaflets and Islamic books were seized from their possession.
