Heavy rain inundates Dhaka roads
Heavy rain swept through Dhaka city today after a nor’wester lashed the capital this morning following two days of stifling summer heat, bringing down the mercury level to cool and comfortable levels.
The clouds have kept the sun out for most the day and cast a night-like ambience over the capital.
The nor’wester lashed over the city around 8:30am, followed by rains which continued in sessions throughout the day and in the evening.
The rain resulted in inundation of many of the major roads in the capital, including in Dhanmondi, Farmgate, Karwan Bazar, Mirpur, Shewrapara, Sher-e-Bangla Nagar and others.
