A little bit of Vietnam in Dhaka!
Vietnam is celebrated for its tremendous ceramic art. With that in mind, Clay Station, a clay studio situated in Dhaka, has arranged an exhibition to give the people of Dhaka an essence of Vietnam.
Founders of Clay Station went to Vietnam two months back and were mesmerised by the detailed pottery work and the rich culture of Vietnam. The exhibition titled, A Little Bit of Vietnam, which started yesterday, showcased the integrity of Vietnamese ceramic culture. The exhibition will continue till 8 PM today.
Sharmin Ahmed, Founder of Clay Station, says “The people of Vietnam and their humble approach attracted me the most. Even though their works are prodigious, their simplicity towards life is quite fascinating.” Sharmin brought samples from Vietnam for the artists at Clay Station so that they can combine their own knowledge of pottery and Vietnamese ceramic culture into their artworks to give Dhaka's people a peek into Vietnamese culture.
A Vietnamese lady residing in Dhaka is present at the exhibition with her homemade traditional dish “Pho.” This dish in bowls and ceramic wares are being sold at the exhibition.
