Taufiq Tamim becomes Korea's favourite 'Oppa'

A lanky Bangladeshi youngster seemingly lacking talent, shell-shocked the audience when he put his glorious voice on display in a South Korean reality show. It was quite the scene when Taufiq Tamim sang in I Can See Your Voice, a musical 'game show' where contestants' talents are assessed by their appearances by celebrity guest judges.

Wanna One, the Korean idols who were laughing at the singer's frame, soon found themselves in awe as he started strumming his guitar and sang his rendition of Tomboy.  Taufiq, who is studying in the Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, learned how to play the guitar when he arrived to South Korea. Despite not having any formal training in vocalization, Taufiq has earned quite a reputation in his university, as well as Bangladesh, as his video went viral across social media platforms. With a god-gifted voice and so much heart, his career graph as a singer will only go up as the entirety of Korea now 'stans' the up and comer.
