NBR offices, banks to remain open Saturday

The National Board of Revenue (NBR) today asked the concerned officials to keep their all field-level offices open on Saturday for facilitating tax payment by the taxpayers of the 2017-18 fiscal year.

The NBR instructed its field-level income tax, customs and value-added tax offices to take necessary measures so that taxpayers can pay their taxes on the last day, which falls on a weekly holiday, of the outgoing fiscal year of 2017-2018.

Bangladesh Bank has already asked all scheduled banks in the country to keep their branches open on the day to facilitate payment of taxes to the government exchequer.
