BNP-led 20-party leaders to sit this evening

Leaders of BNP-led 20-party will sit this evening to discuss relations among the alliance.

The meeting will take place today at the party chairperson Khaleda Zia’s Gulshan office at 6:00pm, said party sources.

Despite an earlier decision to have a single mayor candidate from the BNP-alliance in the Sylhet City Corporation elections, a Jamaat leader is independently contesting the polls, party insiders said.

And this is causing some friction inside the party, they added.

This will be one of the main discussion topics in the meeting.
